Chicken-Fried Chicken {Recipe}

Chicken-Fried Chicken

This is one of my favorite recipes! It’s surprisingly easy and always delicious. I love to pair this with a green bean casserole or corn casserole – it’s delicious every time. Okay, here we go:

Yield: 6 servings

Ready in: 45 minutes

Ingredients

15 saltine crackers

2 tbsp. all-purpose flour

1 tsp. seasoned salt (I usually go with garlic salt!)

1/2 tsp. ground black pepper

1 egg

6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

2 cups vegetable or coconut oil for frying

Directions

Place saltine crackers in a Ziploc freezer bag and crush them until they are coarse crumbs. Then, add the flour, salt, and pepper and shake bag so ingredients are mixed.

 Crack one egg into a small bowl and beat. One by one, coat the chicken breasts in the egg (both sides) and place in the Ziploc bag. Seal and shake the bag to coat the chicken.

Heat oil in a large saucepan on medium-high heat and then heat chicken pieces, flipping over frequently until cooked through. This usually takes about 15-20 minutes.
